About funeral processions--remember that funeral-related stuff is for the *survivors*. The dead can't care less anymore. It's the grief of their friends and families that we respect.

As for Bo Bice...I haven't heard that song (I don't think), but I certainly hope that's a moment and not the rest of his life. They don't all have to be like that--Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, and Kelly Clarkson have all developed their own unique sounds, and Carrie and Fantasia even caused a little controversy with their lyrics ("Jesus Take the Wheel" and "Babymama," respectively.) But I do hope Chris is more careful than Bo, too.

You're too literal today Lilo, of course I know the funeral junk is for the survivors, I've been in that limo more times than I care to count, I was being flippant. I'm frequently flippant about death because if I wasn't I'd be in an institution wearing a straight jacket by now. Poor Bo. I wish I could steal him away and deprogram him. As far as Carrie went, she was the perfect little winner right from the start. I had no idea there was controversy over Jesus Take the Wheel. I know exactly nothing about Fantasia, last season was the first I'd watched, and as far as Kelly goes, she only got intersting in the past year, when her leash to AI was finally severed. I didn't hear a thing of hers that I'd listen to until this year.

Yeah, I am being too damn serious and literal-minded.

A little surfing, a little NASCAR watching, and a lot of quality time with my "Nora" (or is that "James"?) will take care of that, I'm sure.

I haven't watched American Idol because Kelly Pickler [or however she spells don't care too much] and Ace Young were enough to drive me into insanity. Also this is what you get for listening to the radio. Corporate musical vomit.
